World Wide Mail Delay Hot Spots

Current possible world wide mail delivery delay hot spots as of June 27, 2012

UNITED KINGDOMThe Olympic Torch Relay is taking place at various points around the UK. There will be official road closures and large crowds along parts of the route which may cause some temporary disruption to service. Some of the communities through which the Torch will be passing through today include: Grimby, Louth, Mablethorpe, Skegness, Boston and Sleaford arriving for the evening celebrations at Lincoln. We will keep you updated of any disruption the Olympic Torch Relay may cause.PORTUGALAirport workers have given notice to strike between June 29th and July 3rd which may result in flight cancellations. Mail deliveries delays to be expected during this period.PARAGUAYPolitical unrest in Paraguay reported on June 22nd has ended; however, there may be some delays in the processing and delivery of mail.FRANCE & ITALYFlights were cancelled due to strike actions by airport workers on June 21-23. Mail delivery delays expected during this period.
(My observation) mail in  the summer to France and Germany is very slow anyway. half the country is always on summer vacations.

BOSNIA, CROATIA, MACEDONIA
Due to restrictions on air capacity which may have affected service from as early as June 1st to June 17th, mail being sent to these countries is currently subject to delay.UNITED STATES
Wildfires in the West and tropical storm Debby in Florida are causing some delays with mail deliveries in these regions.
