EA SCORES ON PENALTY KICK BUT MISSES THE FREE THROW

EA has announced that Fifa 11 has sold close to 8 million units to retailers worldwide since its release. "Our soccer game, FIFA 11, is breaking worldwide sales record," EA COO John Schappert told investors during an earnings call last night. "The game has sold in almost eight million units to date, up more than 20 per cent over last year's great performance. However, the news wasn't all good for EA. EA's John Schappert also confirmed during a recent investor's call that "we have elected to cancel NBA Elite 11." All NBA Elite preorders with us here at VGP will be cancelled and anyone who has prepaid will be refunded. Hopefully, EA can get it right next year but thankfully we have the great NBA 2K11 to keep us going this basketball season.
